Your Questions About Virus Game

Robert asks…Why would McAfee claim a virus on a store bought CD game?I'm trying to install a game - Syberia II - on my computer (Windows 7). I am using the actual, legal CD-rom, it's not a torrent download. While trying to install, my McAfee anti-virus (it was free...) stops and quarantines a file so I can't continue the install. Why would this happen? Is it safe to just shut the AV off and install the game, and just assume the detection could be because it's an older game?dude17111
