George asks…Why is student loans garnishing my disability income check? I thought that was illegal?That's about the lowest thing they can do when you have lost your job after becoming disabled. I went into default when I lost my job because my disability check is barely enough to feed me. Months later my disability social security check is being garnished by student loans.
Actually I think they are taking from the bank because of direct deposit. Are they still able to take garnishments out
